Our aim is to be an ITT provider whose core purpose is to produce high quality teachers who are fully able to inspire, educate and nurture our local children.

Henry Maynard Training E17, is a recently accredited provider of Initial Teacher Training. As a school we have successfully been involved in leading teacher training for more than 12 years. We pride ourselves on a bespoke training programme, tailored to meet your individual needs and expertise, with support and encouragement every step of the way.

We constantly find new ways to effectively develop the role and knowledge of our mentors who in turn guide and support our trainees. We have a great track record of producing outstanding teachers, leaders and head teachers of the future.

We are now accepting applications for our courses. Applications for School Direct (salaried) and SCITT both go through the government “Apply” service.

For schools

We offer both the School Direct (salaried) and SCITT programmes. Successful completion of either of these leads to the award of QTS and the academic award of a PGCE.

We deliver the School Direct (salaried) and SCITT programmes across North and East London. We are actively involved in our local community and have strong teaching, research and partnership links with local Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

We are committed to training outstanding teachers who will serve the diverse community in North and East London.

Trainees from the school-based route start their NQT year well prepared and ready to take on the full responsibility of the class straight away. They are “up and running” from the first day of term in September because they have had so much classroom experience during their training year.
